Upper-Normandy region is composed of two departments: Eure (27) and Seine-Maritime (76). The region is famous for its stunning river valleys and chalk cliff coastline. The famous Seine river which extends acoss the southern edge of the Seine Maritime department and across the north eastern corner of the Eure department. The river dominates the landscape with huge bends and impressive cliffs carved out of the valley. The Seine has many tributaries that intersect the region providing a landscape perfect for lakes and ponds.
The most famous lake in Upper-Normandy is the Etang des Deux Amants in the Eure department (27).
The Eure department offers many notable lakes: Etang de Brionne, Etang de La Sainte-Croix-Leufroy, Etangde Nonancourt, Etang de Pacy, Etang de Pont-Audemer, Etang du Hamel, Etang du lac de Chambon, Etang de Tillieres sur Avre, Lac de Saint George Motel, Lac de Grosley, Lac de la Noe, Lac de Roger's etc.
In the Seine-Maritime department (76) you will find the following lakes: Etang de la voile, Etang de Muchedentm, Etang de Sénarpont, Etang de Tourville la rivière, Etang d'Anneville, Etang d'Arques, Etang d'Incheville, Etang la Haricot, Etanfs de Jumièges, Lac de l'Andelle, Lac de Caniel, Les Etang de Saint Aubin, Les Etang le Val doré, Plan d'eau de la Varenne and Vallée Lake.
